I caught myself dancing in public three times yesterday.
Yesterday was one of the longer days of my life.

2:00 a.m. Fell asleep. Pitfall to being an insomniac.
4:00 a.m. Woke up.
4:05 a.m. Woke up Diane.
4:40 a.m. Ready to go.
5:40 a.m. Diane was finally ready to go. I drove.
6:30 a.m. Still driving. Called Katie. She is irritatingly awake, but agrees to go to lunch.
8:00 a.m. Arrived in PC. Headed to court house. Said goodbye to Diane and drove off in her car with the nice V6 engine.
8:30 a.m. Arrived at Mara's house. She's so spiffy, even first thing in the morning.
9:50 a.m. Mara left for work like a good lil worker. (Did I mention I called in sick yesterday to do this?) I putzed around on her computer while alternately zoning out.
10:30 a.m. Mara's grandmother told me to never get married.
10:32 a.m. Mara's grandmother came back to say she was joking.
11:30 a.m. Left Mara's to drive to credit union.
11:40 a.m. Credit union gone. No sign explaining its new whereabouts.
11:50 a.m. Arrived at Katie's place of employment. I tell the receptionist I am here to meet Katie, so she leaves to go tell her. Little girl assaults me with her dirty but cute white kitten named Snowball and asks me many questions. She tells me I look like her mother.
11:55 a.m. Receptionist returns. She says, "Katie says she'll be out in a few, and she says you're a...bum." I laugh hysterically, because this receptionist looked like she thought she shouldn't be telling me I am a bum.
12:00 p.m. Katie and I go to lunch. Subway, mmm. We talk about lots of stuff I forget. Turns out she was planning to come to Orlando today to visit her father and wants to visit me if she has time.
1:00 p.m. Bid adieu to Katie after agreeing to go to dinner that night. Began driving to brother Mark's place of employment in Englewood. Long drive. Was beginning to contemplate what it would be like to drive off a cliff. No cliffs in Florida, so still felt safe enough to drive.
1:30 p.m. Arrived at Tires Plus or Firestone or whatever it's called now. Mark and I talked for a few minutes, mostly depressing things, since our family is disjointed and unfriendly and we're all very good at alienating each other. I give him Diane's keys and go inside to read The Princess Bride.
2:10 p.m. I ran outside to ask Mark if he has time to put new windshield wipers on her car. This ends up being really important later.
2:35 p.m. Mark finished. He introduced me to his co-worker Rick. He draws a map to his house and wants me to stop by there before I leave town. Die a little inside when I realize how long I will be awake today.
3:00 p.m. Stop at Suntrust since no one could tell me what happened to the credit union. Mmm, money.
3:10 p.m. Arrive at Mara's. She told me to read gigawatz's rant. I did. And I replied. But I would like to maintain I was sleep-deprived when I wrote all that.
4:30 p.m. Mara left to go visit her boyfriend for the weekend. Twitterpated people. I left to go to Katie's house, hoping no one would be home so I could sleep. No such luck. But her mom and sister were friendly as always. I finally figured out what I Love the '90's is. According to the television, I love 1994.
5:30 p.m. Katie arrives home. We take separate cars to dinner.
7:00 p.m. Katie and I part ways. I drive to the mall to meet my mother. Unfortunately, Linda is there also. She greets me by saying, "Your mother tells me you're thinking of going into school psychology. That's stupid. Do you want to give tests the rest of your life? Go into clinical psychology." I avoid much of my family because I dislike conversations like that. I force a smile.
7:30 p.m. Arrive at Mark's house. Am thoroughly attacked by one of his Dachshund. I fell completely backward on the couch. Blech. I proceed to zone out for an hour.
8:30 p.m. Diane reveals that one of her contacts fell out and that she does not have her glasses with her. I begin driving home.
9:00 p.m. Run into rain. Very dark. Eyes very wide. Screamed mentally. Very thankful I remembered to ask Mark for new windshield wipers.
9:40 p.m. Rain stopped.
9:50 p.m. Rain begins again. Tease.
10:00 p.m. Stop at McD's to regain sanity. Did not succeed, because Diane and I started talking about familial politics.
11:00 p.m. Arrived home. Wanted to weep with joy. A cat was outside a foot away from my cat, and they were about to get into an altercation. Tired and pissy, I hissed at the cat, causing it to run away. Grabbed my cat and went to bed.

I ended up calling in sick today also when I woke up with some symptoms of the aftermath, creating a familiar black cloud where I measure my worth as a person by how well my body feels.
